The Alat Free Economic Zone (AFEZ) Authority was represented in the 1st Go Net Zero Energy – Central Asia & Caspian Business Summit, held on 8 September 2026 in Astana, Kazakhstan. The Summit brought together government representatives, investors, energy companies, and industry experts to discuss the energy transition, decarbonization, and sustainable development across Central Asia and the Caspian region.As part of the Summit programme, a representative of the AFEZ Authority presented AFEZ’s perspective on the role of investment hubs and economic zones in supporting the transition of industries towards cleaner and more sustainable production. The presentation highlighted practical examples from AFEZ, as well as the Zone’s unique legal framework, fiscal and non-fiscal incentives package, strategic geographic location, land plots with ready-to-use infrastructure and utilities, and other advantages.The presentation also outlined AFEZ’s efforts to develop an integrated renewable energy ecosystem and promote the use of rooftop solar installations among registered companies.
