On June 11, the Chairman of the Board of the Alat Free Economic Zone Authority (AFEZ), Mr. Valeh Alasgarov, participated as a speaker in the “Technovation by PMI: Science & Innovation for Sustainable Economic Transformation” forum, organized by AmCham Azerbaijan.
Speaking during the session “Government and Industry Perspectives: Economic Diversification through the Promotion and Development of the Non-Oil and Gas Sector,” Mr. Alasgarov presented the strategic role of the Alat Free Economic Zone in advancing Azerbaijan’s economic diversification agenda.His presentation highlighted AFEZ’s unique legal framework, competitive fiscal and non-fiscal incentives, strategic location at the crossroads of major international routes, and the availability of industrial land plots supported by fully developed infrastructure and utilities. Mr. Alasgarov also emphasized the opportunities the Zone offers to international investors who are interested in high-value added and export-oriented manufacturing.
The presentation of the Alat Free Economic Zone attracted considerable interest from participants, reflecting the growing attention of the business community to the opportunities offered by AFEZ.
