On April 16, 2024, the Chairman of the Board of the Alat Free Economic Zone (AFEZ) Authority, Mr. Valeh Alasgarov met with Ms. Teri Hakala, EU Special Representative for Central Asia.
During the meeting Mr. Alasgarov informed the delegation about main activities of the AFEZ, its strategic geographical location, unique legal framework, as well as about the industrial land plots with ready-to-use off-site and on-site infrastructure and utilities, and the fiscal and non-fiscal incentives package for the investors.
The two sides discussed the development of cooperation between the AFEZ and the European Union.
