Chinese company to produce solar panels in the Alat Free Economic Zone

A U.S. business delegation, consisting of representatives of the United States - Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC), businesspeople, and government officials, paid a visit to the Alat Free Economic Zone (AFEZ).

Mr. Valeh Alasgarov, Chairman of the Board of the AFEZ Authority, presented the advantages offered by AFEZ, including its unique legal framework, attractive fiscal and non-fiscal incentives, fully developed infrastructure, and strategic location at the crossroads of major international trade routes.

Both sides discussed the possibilities and prospects for further cooperation.&nbsp;&nbsp;

U.S. Business delegation visited the Alat Free Economic Zone

On August 31, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Xie Yi, the Founder and Chairman of Sichuan Sunsync Photovoltaic Technology Co, in Tianjin, China.

The meeting involved an exchange of views on future cooperation between Azerbaijan and the company.<br><br>Discussions focused on the establishment of a modern facility in the Alat Free Economic Zone for the production of solar panels, meeting the highest technological standards in the near future. It was emphasized that a significant portion of the products manufactured there is planned to be exported to global markets.<br><br>Xie Yi noted that, considering the favorable investment environment created in Azerbaijan and the strategic relations between Azerbaijan and China, the company decided to invest in Azerbaijan.

A delegation led by Mr. Kang Kymgu, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, visited the Alat Free Economic Zone (AFEZ).Mr. Valeh Alasgarov, Chairman of the Board of the AFEZ Authority, presented the advantages offered by AFEZ, including its unique legal framework, attractive fiscal and non-fiscal incentives, fully developed infrastructure, and strategic location at the crossroads of major international trade routes.

Mr. Kymgu expressed appreciation for the favorable conditions provided by AFEZ for investors. Both sides discussed the possibilities and prospects for further cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, the delegation visited the site of the Alat Free Economic Zone, where they were given a detailed tour of the infrastructure and facilities.
