A delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), including representatives from the infrastructure and urban development sectors, paid a visit to the Alat Free Economic Zone (AFEZ).
During the meeting, representative of the AFEZ Authority delivered a comprehensive presentation on the strategic role of the Zone as a major industrial, logistics, and investment hub in the region. The delegation was informed about the large-scale infrastructure works being carried out within the Zone, including the development of transport connectivity, utility networks, engineering systems, and modern industrial facilities designed to meet international standards.
During the visit, the parties exchanged views on prospects for further cooperation, particularly in relation to financing the continued development of the Zone’s infrastructure. Discussions also focused on potential mechanisms for supporting and financing projects implemented by AFEZ investors. Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration to promote sustainable economic development.
