Last week, the delegation from AFEZA had the opportunity to visit VIAC, a hub of expertise and innovation in the field of alternative dispute resolution. The purpose of the visit was to learn from VIAC’s extensive experience in providing alternative dispute resolution services as well as the key elements of institutional arbitration.
The experience was truly enlightening and provided deep insights into the key elements of institutional arbitration.
The Deputy Secretary Ms. Elisabeth Vanas-Metzler and Legal Counsel Ms. Nazli Morali shared their invaluable knowledge concerning the VIAC Rules, the governance of the organization, and much more useful information.
During the meeting, Mr. Thomas John MCIArb, an internationally recognized expert, emphasized the importance of alternative dispute resolution in AFEZ and the role of prospective AFEZ Arbitration Centre in providing efficient methods for dispute resolution within the free zone.
The discussions continued with a presentation about the regional significance of AFEZ and exchange of ideas for the establishment of AFEZ Arbitration Centre.
