Government delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Azerbaijan headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Mr. Jamshid Khojayev visited the AFEZ construction field and AFEZ Authority administrative office building. The delegation also consisted of the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Ilham Makhkamov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan, Mr. Bakhrom Ashrafkhanov, officials of the state institutions and leaders of private companies from Uzbekistan. Here Mr. Khojayev met with the Chairman of the Board of AFEZA, Mr. Valeh Alasgarov and AFEZA team. Mr. Alasgarov delivered presentation to the delegation, and highlighted unique legal regime of AFEZ, its strategic geographic location, modern infrastructure, business friendly operating environment, benefits and incentives available for investors. Mr. Alasgarov and Mr. Khojayev discussed possible ways towards the attraction Uzbek investors to the AFEZ. After the meeting the delegation had a tour to industrial and logistic facilities.
