On December 18, 2025, a meeting was held between the delegation headed by the Minister of Economy of the Sultanate of Oman, His Excellency Said bin Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Saqri, and the Alat Economic Zone Authority (AFEZ Authority).
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Board of the AFEZ Authority, Mr. Valeh Alasgarov, delivered a detailed presentation on the Alat Free Economic Zone, highlighting its unique legal framework, ready-to-use on-site and off-site infrastructure, industrial land plots equipped with engineering and utility systems, a package of financial and non-financial incentives, as well as transport and logistics centers.
His Excellency Said bin Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Saqri stated that the presentation on the Alat Free Economic Zone had made a strong impression on them, emphasizing that the extraterritoriality of the Alat Free Economic Zone and the independence of the AFEZ Authority provide a solid foundation for the Zone’s successful development. He also noted that industrial land plots equipped with ready-to-use essential infrastructure are attractive to investors.
At the end of the meeting, the Omani side expressed interest in continuing cooperation.
