Alat Free Economic Zone
Alat Free Economic Zone (AFEZ) with a strategic geographic location, adjacent to the Baku International Sea Trade Port and global transport corridors, will serve as a regional investment hub and will deliver an outstanding business environment for investors engaged in high value-added and export-oriented manufacturing and internationally traded services, using innovative technologies and approaches to work in accordance with best international standards.
AFEZ Advantages
The legal framework for the development, operation, and governance of AFEZ is based on the “Law of Republic of Azerbaijan on the Alat Free Economic Zone” adopted by the Parliament and signed by the President of Azerbaijan as a prevailing law of the Republic of Azerbaijan and internal regulations of AFEZ issued by the AFEZ Authority.
AFEZ provides to its clients industrial land plots with ready-to-use off-site and on-site (gas, water, rain and domestic sewage, electricity, irrigation lines and facilities, street-road network) infrastructure and utilities.
AFEZ is located at the intersection of international transport corridors (North-South, East-West) in vicinity of the Baku International Sea Trade Port. This strategic location on the shore of the Caspian Sea provides a fertile environment and vital link from east to west, from north to south.

AREA
The approved Master Plan of the Alat Free Economic Zone covers 719 hectares of area, spread over three separate zones. In total, 5032 ha of territory has been already allocated to AFEZ by the Government, while an additional 3000 ha of area has been reserved for the future expansion.
Transportation-Logistics Centers
Logistics center has been established on the territory of 5 hectares with annual capacity of 500,000 tons for goods transported by road.
Logistics center will be established on the territory of 21 hectares for goods transported by rail.
Cargo Airport will be established with the initial annual capacity of 500,000 tons, with further gradual increase reaching up to 1.5 million tons per year.
AFEZ is located in vicinity of Baku International Sea Trade Port.
